Allison has worked in the field of disability services since 1996. She has an extensive background in workplace accommodations, assistive technology, academic accommodations, pre-employment transition services, and home modifications. Allison also has several years of experience with supervision of vocational rehabilitation staff in the areas of vocational evaluations, job readiness training, job placement services, job coaching, and supported employment.

Allison was appointed to the State Rehabilitation Council (SRC) to serve as a representative of Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors for the 2017-2020 term. She has served as a subject matter expert for both the Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) and Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) exams. In addition to holding her CESP and ATP, Allison has also been a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) since 2005 and a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) since 2013.

Allison earned her Doctorate of Philosophy in Rehabilitation Counseling and Special Education from Auburn University in 2008. She also has a Bachelors degree in Psychology and two Masters degrees, one in Rehabilitation Counseling and another in Business Administration from Auburn University.
