Maria Vargas, MS, CRC, CLCP Background Maria is the owner and founder of Vargas Vocational Consulting. With over 13 years of experience in private sector vocational rehabiliation, she is uniquely qualified to provide vocational services. She has years of experience as a Vocational Consultant in the Worker's Compensation area, where she has provided services to Plaintiff and Defense sides. She has provided vocational assessments and placement to individuals receiving Long Term Disability, and Worker's Compensation benefits. She also provides individual counseling to individuals undergoing career transition due to injury, lay-off, marital dissolution or other situations. Maria serves as a Vocational Expert and Consultant in litigation. She has worked on cases ranging from Employment Law, Divorce, Personal Injury, Automobile Liability, and Worker's Compensation. Training Maria obtained a M. S. in Rehabilitation Counseling and a B. A. in Psychology, both from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She holds the designations of Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), and Certified Life Care Planner(CLCP). She is a Qualifed Rehabilitation Provider (QRP) in the State of North Carolina. She is a certified provider for the Federal Office of Worker's Compensation Programs (OWCP). Professional Affiliations Maria has been an active member of the National Association of Rehabilitation Professionals in the Private Sector (NARPPS) since 1992. She has served in state level offices, including President of the state chapter. She is a member of the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of North Carolina.
